BBC’s The Repair Shop
In November 2019, my business took a giant leap forward with a golden opportunity too good to turn down.
I received a phone call from Ricochet, (a production company owned by Warner Brothers), who asked if I would participate in their heartwarming show, ‘The Repair Shop’ on the BBC.
I have proudly been invited back a few times now, and have fixed a variety of fretted instruments, some of which (at the time of writing this page) I cannot talk about until they have aired.
This is possibly the best opportunity that has presented itself to me, and I intend to ride the wave for as long as it lasts.
Below are some pics showing some of my visits to ‘The Barn’.
I consider it an absolute privilege to work alongside such talented people, that includes the crew and everyone behind the scenes, as well as the lovely experts, who made me feel part of the family and so very welcome from the very beginning.
It is filmed on location at the ‘The Weald & Downland Museum’, in Singleton, Chichester.
A wonderful place full of a great bunch of folk doing amazing things for conservation, as well as keeping old heritage and craft skills alive. It is well worth a visit!
